The HT-5500 is designed for maximum flexibility across various testing environments. In non-contact mode, it uses a reflective sensor positioned close to the rotating object. For contact mode, a specialized adapter is attached. It handles real-time RPM and line speed monitoring, including cumulative counts and cycle timing.

Its memory functionality allows storing and recalling up to 20 measurements—a valuable feature for comparative testing or batch monitoring. Customizable analog outputs and pulse outputs make it easy to link with data recorders or analysis equipment.
